Never hurt your Mama

I am enrolled in a class called Drama, recently we have read a play by Lorraine Hansberry called A Raisin in the Sun. In this unit we have been going over racism, sexism, and redling. As our external investigation we had to come up with a guiding question. My question is: Is your dream to help your family worth breaking your family apart? Our next goal was to ask 9 people this question, and 5/9 said no it is not worth it. We learned about what a Greek chorus is and does. Our project was to write our own Greek chorus to respond to a character in the play. I have chosen a character named Walter. We have to address the racism, sexism, and housing issues in our commentary. I learned a lot about housing policies in this unit. I also learned a lot about how plays are written.  In conclusion I think Walter is selfish even though I can see where he is coming from. The hardest part about this project was finding the dialogue I wanted to respond to. I wanted to say this to Walter throughout
